ah yes, my bad, forgot to cancel the transparency on the bottom object. but that shouldnt matter, anyway. so it seems that the merge mode is to blame?

You can use Subtract on the top object versus multiply if using a PDF/X profile. The top object will become a bitmap, is slightly truer to the document appearance versus multiply. Personally I would...

Multi-layering transparency can be unpredictable. The blame is on the file construction, subtract used when you wanted multiply. I will he discussing the Corel display of double subtract transparency...

i think u misunderstood a little, or maybe i was a little vague. make the green object non-transparent(no transparency setting at all) and the gray one transparent, but with 100% opacity and merge mode...

ok, so the solution would be to rasterize the drawing and then make the pdf from it.
View ArticleForum Post: RE: Published Pdf doesnt keep transparency appearance of artwork...
For bitmap types of transparencies, rasterize it in CD--which really means multiple working copies in case you need to make a change to the vector objects, or just publish to PDF using one of the PDF/X...
