That's not what you said in your original post, you said multiply. That's why I changed the merge mode in the first place. Why would you want to use a merge mode that does not provide the effect you want ignoring one that does? The problem I have is that subtract and multiply merge modes on my system HAVE THE SAME DISPLAY in CorelDRAW but different displays in PDF. In PDF the multiply merge mode display IMO is correct with the CDR file. Not so with the subtract merge mode. Now the task is to determine for the subtract merge mode which is the correct display, the CDR or the PDF. Of course that means determining how the subtract merge mode transparency was designed to work in the first place.
