Hi Iprint, Mike has the correct answer. -- Just to add a further comment. -- I tried it out in DRAW X6. DRAW X6 adds the outline so that it is half way within the object and halfway outside. After you convert the outline to an object, make sure that it is on top of the original object. Then resize and/or move the outline so that it covers the part that you want to be trimmed. Select both object and outline and click on TRIM on the property bar. I can't find any way to place the outline in DRAW X6 before separating object and outline. I have to resize it after converting it to a separate object. Phil
