Ariel, thats why Corel need to write the workspace file to make it easy for new versions to ignore or ammend data so that it will import. They know what has changed so anything in the old workspace that relates to an area of change either gets omitted (and the user informed of course) or ammended to the closest new setting. This is what computers are supposed to be good at, reading data with a known structure , applying syntax rules and then deleting or ammending as approporiate. Just because it hasn't been a good idea to import does not mean its not a good idea to have it , reliably. Multiply the 2 hours by the user base. OK so many will not be heavy customisers, but those that are are probably those most likely to upgrade anyway, so make life easy and you have more chance of extracting ££££'s from their wallets.
