Hi Tetro, Nobody said that color management or color theory was necessary to get a job done. If anything, my initial attempt at humor was misinterpreted. It was posted to show that you do not need the axioms. This thread has gotten out of hand. Let me ask you a question. GIVEN: I'm an amateur auto mechanic. When I was young, I took auto engines apart. QUESTION: Is there anything wrong with discussing the insides of auto engines with people who are also interested in auto engines. After all, you don't have to know a spark plug from a tire in order to drive a car. Phil
