Then again, to toggle tools, the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+Spacebar. The spacebar key by itself doesn't seem to have a command assigned to it. Regarding tool selection, what would awesome would be wheel menu as seen in many video games. Say for instance the middle mouse button isn't assigned to Pan, it could be used where, if you keep it pressed down, a series of favorited tools appear at various cardinal points around the pointer which would freeze on the screen at that moment. One north, north-east, east, south-east and so forth. Move the pointer towards the desired tool and release the middle mouse button to select it. No key presses required. I'm assuming this would be awesome for those with Wacom tablets and stylus. Of course, make the tools customizable in that wheel. Well, that's just an idea. :)
