Hi Ariel, I hope so! I let my pc do all that it has to do, I'm not entirely clued up on that side of things... What i have found is i was working off an external harddrive, and put all my fonts on C drive and let navigator 'find'all the fonts again and haven't had a problem as yet again. so hopefully, maybe just perhaps the whole thing has been sorted out!
I believe it's not a good idea to have all fonts on a external hard disk drive. Fonts are managed by Windows, not by CorelDRAW or FontNavigator. When you install a font using FontNav, it creates a shortcut to the folder, but if the system can't access to the drive or it's using too much temp files, maybe can't access to the external drive. The best way is to create a folder with your fonts on your hard disk drive, and a backup on the external disk, then find fonts only on this folder and Windows/fonts. On the Windows/fonts is better to have the less fonts as possible, and the overall amount of fonts should be as less as possible (less than 400 is better)
How do you know when Corel is doing updates? one question leads into another - if you don't mind ;))
I have a secret phone line that alert me when the programmers are working.... :) Not, unfortunately I don't have this kind of spy, but I'm one of the CorelDRAW Masters and also part of the Beta Testers team, so I receive some news. And also, I read the messages of the Corel Team, usually they report when there is something new.
