Mike.....you are a savior, mate. They are drop box files ........... I clicked on each file and chose "save link as" and they showed up on my computer as .eps. The "save link as" shoulda been a clue (late in the day, & a little ignorance using drop box), but, now that I think about it, seems to me that choosing the "save link as" would have generated a url instead of an eps designation once I downloaded it. No matter, taking the time to look at the file in a text editor was something I never would have even thought of doing. I just tried the "open link in new tab" and there was the file.
