Hi Mike, I don't have a survey on how people use the option for multiple color models. My personal experience is limited to creating very simple sketches in DRAW in sRGB, inserting them into MS Publisher along with photos in sRGB , creating a PDF from MS Publisher, and handing the file to the printer. He has told me to use sRGB rather than CMYK because he may print it either on an ink jet or offset press. My suggestion for the OPTION to force all objects to be in either RGB or CMYK comes from: 1. The hurricane of posts on mesh fill. It showed plenty of confusion -- including mine. 2. My recent reading of Dr. Petrov's guide to color management. He has written: -- Adobe products limit the document color model to one model for all objects. (2010) -- He discussed the advantages and pitfalls of allowing multiple color models for different objects. He himself favored the use of multiple color models. However, his discussion of the pitfalls of allowing multiple color models per document convinced me that allowing only one color space for all objects is a wiser choice for most designers. 3. Dr. Petrov's other discussions on the screw ups and degradations that can occur when multiple profiles are used due to unnecessary conversions between color spaces. You can now add David Milisock's sarcastic comment that he needs more competition than that. It's a recommendation for a single color space for all objects. Again, I have no idea how to get Pantone spot colors into the act. I've never used spot colors. Phil
