Check different areas in zoom level 1:1 (or zoom in even closer) in the preview, to see how much the final bitmap will be affected by the compression. One more thing: The size you get, >35 MB, sounds too much for a 10 x 10 feet 72 dpi JPG. I made a few tests and ended up with files between 3 - 11 MB depending on the content, with a 90% quality setting, RGB JPG.
