Bob some people are like bad weather their always with you. Can't worry about it, the other web sites for CorelDraw are so different than this one, so few to no Corel should be Illustrator people, a bunch of beginners and some real experienced artists occasionally pop up and that's the thing that amazes me. These guys are doing things with mesh fills, transparency contours and other features without complaints unlike this forum. Sure there are those who have an issue or two that needs addressed but for the most part it's new and experienced CorelDraw people exchanging their work. I'm on a pre-press forum and it's a "rough environment" profits are very low, color management professionals as well as other types of vendors are severely STRUGGLING to sell their product and the pressure in print is worse then ever but they are looking at new ideas and CorelDraw is drawing some attention there, specifically since many of these companies are moving to wide format to supplement their income. Well it does help to have someone posting that can point them in the right direction. On this forum it seems as if there are those who just either just don't seem to be able to make CorelDraw work or who simply want it to be something else or who just want to be pissed off about some insignificant thing and it saturates the forum. Let's face it NO SOFTWARE is bug free! With that said you seem to be able to make a living with CorelDraw as significant part of your tool box, as you know I've expanded in every field where the Graphics Suite is efficient, wide and grand format, color correcting, color management for my clients, digital and traditional print and now signs. I have created multi-page files at full scale representing 400' building with multiple signs showing glows shadows to show dimension with no issues. Files regularly pushing 1.2GB with Photo-PAINT CPT file format running rings around the PSB Photoshop file format. However unlike other forums you'd be hard pressed to hear those things from a certain group on this forum. If I had $5 every time I heard CorelDraw is unusable I wouldn't need to work tomorrow, but I only hear it on this forum and only from a repetitive few and not on the other froums.
