Hi A, This is probably off topic since I can't answer your questions. However, I strongly recommended doing everything in an RGB color mode. I prefer sRGB because that is what is displayed on the monitor. Mixing colors in the CMYK color mode gave me inconsistent results in both Corel and Adobe products. CMYK is a "subtractive" color mode. I finally deciphered how it happens with offset transparent inks. (See my post on CMY.) Consider the yellow ink. Believe it or not, the yellow ink can not pass yellow light. It passes green and red light which happens to look yellow. What is the Y primary in a graphics editor. Is it yellow or a mix of green and red. You have to know when you mix colors. I tried to find out in Photopaint's CMYK color mode. I created three layers and filled them with the C, M, and Y primaries. Then I tried out the different merge modes. CONCLUSION: I got inconsistent results. Sometimes the primaries acted like their color. Sometimes they acted like a mix of two other colors. PRACTICAL SOLUTION 1. Use an RGB color mode as the working mode. 2. Convert to CMYK as a last step. Phil
